Can you bring your team building programmes to a different venue?
Yes — our mobile team building service brings the full kit, instructor team and programme to your workplace or chosen venue anywhere in Northern Ireland. Mobile sessions work well at company grounds, hotel conference centres, country parks and public outdoor spaces. We carry out a short site assessment in advance to confirm the space is suitable for the activities you want to run.
Can you provide catering?
Yes, on request. We can arrange buffet style lunches, sit down meals or BBQ options either on-site or at mobile venues, with dietary requirements accommodated. Groups are also welcome to bring their own lunch, and there are several well-regarded pubs and cafes next door. Catering options are quoted separately and added to your booking. At our base we do not have conference facilities, however we can provide team activities at National Trust – Castle Ward who have great conferencing and banqueting facilities or indeed at any venue of your choosing.

We do not have conference facilities on site, however we do partner with local facilities that do offer conference facilities nearby. We also have a partnership with National Trust – Castle Ward who have a range of suitable of conferencing facilities depending on your requirements.
How far is Strangford Lough Activity Centre from Belfast?
Our venue on Sketrick Island, Killinchy is approximately a 30-minute drive from Belfast city centre. We are around 45 minutes from Belfast International Airport, 25 minutes from George Best Belfast City Airport, and under an hour from most of County Down, County Antrim and County Armagh. Free parking is available on site for cars and coaches.We provide written quotes within one working day of enquiry.
What is the minimum and maximum group size?
We run team building days for groups from 8 up to 150+ participants. Smaller groups typically follow a single programme thread, while larger groups rotate through multiple activity stations with dedicated instructors per station. For groups over 100 we recommend a site visit or planning call before confirming the booking.
Do you run team building activities in bad weather?
Yes. We operate year-round and the lough is sheltered, so most weather conditions are workable. We have a heated tipi for indoor briefings and wet-weather sessions, and every programme includes land-based alternatives that can run if water activities need to be swapped. We only cancel for safety reasons, such as severe wind, and a full reschedule or refund is offered if we do.
How long does a typical team building programme last?
Half-day programmes run for around three hours of activity, ideal for groups working around a morning meeting or afternoon schedule. Full-day programmes run from around 09:30 to 16:00 and include lunch, multiple activity rotations and a debrief session. We can flex timings to fit travel, meeting or shift patterns.
What should participants wear or bring?
Comfortable outdoor clothing that can get dirty, closed-toe footwear (trainers or walking shoes), and a warm layer even in summer. For water activities we provide wetsuits, buoyancy aids and all specialist kit, so participants just bring swimwear, dry clothe, a towel & sun protection. We send a full pre-event briefing with a kit list once a booking is confirmed.
Are the Team Activities suitable for persons with mobility issues?
Our team building programmes are tailored to your requirements. If you have a mixed ability group we can adapt our activities to be inclusive. We also work at many different venues throughout the country that have specialist facilities.
Are the activities suitable for non-swimmers or persons with low fitness?
Yes. Water activities are all conducted with professional-grade buoyancy aids in sheltered, shallow water and are suitable for non-swimmers. Activities are also adapted for mixed fitness levels and mobility requirements. Please flag any specific needs at booking — medical conditions, injuries, accessibility requirements — so we can plan appropriate alternatives and brief instructors in advance.
Can we combine team building with accommodation?
Yes. We offer on-site glamping for smaller groups and can recommend local hotels, guesthouses and self-catering options for larger groups within 15 minutes of the venue. Multi-day residential team building is available for groups that want to combine activities with overnight stay and evening programming.
