Full Moon Paddle

Join us for a Full Moon Paddle on Strangford Lough. Firstly, the full moon is unique to witness from the water and no better place to do so, than from a kayak, SUP or canoe on a flat sea. The full moon in August is a super moon called the Blue Moon.

In astrology, the August blue full moon super moon is said to bring about a heightened sense of awareness and intuition. It is a time of increased emotional energy, making it an ideal time for healing, meditation, and spiritual practices.

Departing at twilight you will be guided by an instructor for a paddle out onto Strangford Lough and around the islands. With a favourable forecast, we hope to have a great view of the stars and Moon. After that, we’ll return to base for some hot chocolate & treats.

Time: Meeting  at 20:00hrs to get kitted up, your tour will start shortly after. Wear swimsuit under your clothes if borrowing a wetsuit to avoid us witnessing two full moons!
